To be honest: Keyword data is more of an art than a science.
We looked into the different tools carefully and as a matter of fact many source their data differently. And that means that they give you different metrics (e.g. search volume) for the same keywords.
We tried to make the best of it by standardizing the data via KWFinder. That’s why we get the keyword suggestions from all reports that the different tools have to offer, import them to KWFinder and extract the corresponding data from this single tool only.

KWFinder has access to the original Google data via the Google AdWords API and thus can provide you worldwide aggregated data. SEMrush and Ahrefs on the other hand work with their own national data bases and only deliver you data on a country level.

Since it’s too time-consuming to do a manual difficulty check for each keyword, KWFinder has a metric called “Keyword SEO Difficulty” ranging from 1 to 100. The higher is, the more difficult it will be to rank.
